About Dalila
Professional experience
From a small village in Portugal named Melides to remote corners of the world, she paints landscapes that capture the essence of each place, always with a personal and natural touch.
After stepping away from artistic practice in 2014, she served in the Portuguese Air Force between 2016 and 2025. She returned to painting in 2023 and has since been creating commissioned works.
In April 2025, she joined the artisan collective in Melides at Espaço Cultural A Moagem, where she presented her first solo exhibition, Liberdade do Ser. This was followed by participation in initiatives organized by the Grândola City Council, including live painting in Melides, Carvalhal, and at local fairs, as well as leading painting workshops.
In September 2025, she held a solo exhibition at the Manuel José do Tojal Municipal Library entitled Natureza do Ser. In December 2025, one of her works won first place in the Teresa Oliveira Pinto Painting Competition and was exhibited at the Casa da Cultura in Setúbal until January 2026.
